Day 1 – Arrival

Participants will be transferred from the airport to the accommodation in Sliema city centre

Presentation of the LEXEMA International Agency programs, main activities and staff

 

Day 2 – Focus on

What is a conflict? Prejudices and stereotype. Elements related in an intercultural conflict

The linguistic history of Malta

Short trip walking different International Language schools

 

Day 3 – Let’s proceed!

Lesson about techniques for conflict resolution

Workshop: How can we respond to the intercultural conflicts? Our reality

Visit Marsa Open Centre: Management challenges in a multicultural setting: the case of the Marsa open centre. The Marsa Open Centre houses around 500 male residents from 19 different countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

 

Day 4 – Everything has a solution

Intercultural mediation. Resources to resolve conflicts.

· Speaking with the professionals:  Their experiences and advices

Visit to ILIC (Istituto Italiano di Cultura)

 

Day 5 – Reality at school

Workshop: Know me before you judge me

Volunteer opportunities in Malta

Integra Seminar: Integra (founded 2004) is a non-profit organisation based in Malta, operating independently of any political, economic or religious affiliation at a global level.

 

Day 6 – Intercultural resolutions

Roundtable: How shall we progress from now on?

Visit to primary school in St Paul’s Bay: the most multicultural school on the island, with 30 different nationalities

 

Day 7- Departure day

Final evaluations

Activity Programme

FEES AND REGISTRATION

This course is funded by ERASMUS+ Programme. The amount of funding depends on the rules of the Member State from where the applicant applies. The funding will cover course fees and training material.

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is ideal for all those educators (primary & secondary teachers, university staff (academic & admin), adult educators, trainers & coaches) who want to acquire information about biological agriculture, learn about biological production methods,  compare and contrast bio-production methods, exchange best practices on bio-production, learn about Maltese laws on biological production, understand the mechanism of the biological production chain.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The seminar is spread over 7 days, from Sunday till Sunday. Every day would consist of a morning session and an afternoon session with one coffee break. The program will include also excursion and business visits.
