Culture and Art in Malta

 

This course wants to stimulate participants to reflect upon contemporary Maltese arts with specific reference to theatre; To create new visions of arts in the context of cultural exchanges; To develop creative concepts and ways of thinking.

 

 

Activity Programme

 

DAY 1

MORNING: Lexema  presentation
AFTERNOON: Meeting of participants and tutors, transport to the accommodation and room allocation.


DAY 2
MORNING: Training Orientation Meeting. Presentation of the activities for the upcoming days including information about Maltese culture and Erasmus+
AFTERNOON: Theatre visit to the Manoel Theatre, Valletta


DAY 3

MORNING: Visit to Valletta and Caravaggio painting
AFTERNOON: Visit to Mediterranean Conference Centre


DAY 4

MORNING: Visit to Medina and Rabat
AFTERNOON: Theatre performance in the evening or meeting with the producer, director and actors involved in Edward Bond’s play

 

DAY 5

MORNING: Meeting and discussion with entrepreneurs in the artistic field.
AFTERNOON: Introducing to the Opera Singer in Malta


DAY 6
MORNING: Create a blended learning classroom, join global learning communities, discover and share valuable resources
AFTERNOON: Visit to Cospicua, Vittoriosa, Senglea

 

DAY 7
MORNING: An overview of the contemporary arts scene in Malta (with specific reference to Edward Bond’s The Price of One – a play written by a leading British playwright specifically for the Maltese stage)
AFTERNOON: Conclusion and final dinner

 FEES AND REGISTRATION

This course is funded by ERASMUS+ Programme. The amount of funding depends on the rules of the Member State from where the applicant applies. The funding will cover course fees and training material.

 COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is ideal for all those educators (primary & secondary teachers, university staff (academic & admin), adult educators, trainers & coaches) who want to acquire information about biological agriculture, learn about biological production methods,  compare and contrast bio-production methods, exchange best practices on bio-production, learn about Maltese laws on biological production, understand the mechanism of the biological production chain.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The seminar is spread over 7 days, from Sunday till Sunday. Every day would consist of a morning session and an afternoon session with one coffee break. The program will include also excursion and business visits.
