Day 1 - Arrival and welcoming·

Participants will be transferred from the airport to the accommodation in Malta.

Presentation of Lexema programs, main activities and staff.

 

Day 2 - Biological Agriculture·

Classroom about local biological agriculture: processes and peculiarities.

Short trip walking along Mgarr and visiting farms.

 

Day 3 - The land· our Treasure

Short class on innovative techniques and technologies involved in biological production.

Visit to a local farm and meeting with its main representatives.

 

Day 4 - The Key to Success in Malta:

Key to success and reasons for high-quality levels in biological productions: meeting with a farm head manager.

Let’s explore together our local territory: which products can Malta offer? Visit a to a biological farm.

 

Day 5 - Nature and Local Environment·

Local lands management policies.

Class on environmental awareness.

Visit to MOAM Malta Organic Agriculture Movement.

 

Day 6 - School & Agriculture·

Let’s go to a biological shop: visit a vegetables and fruit local market.

Guided tour to a local agricultural school: labs and informative path among its organization and management.

Conference with its main representatives and some students discovering their own biological products.

 

Day 7 – Departure day·

Final evaluations.

Delivery of the Certificates of Participation.

Departure of participants.

 FEES AND REGISTRATION

This course is funded by ERASMUS+ Programme. The amount of funding depends on the rules of the Member State from where the applicant applies. The funding will cover course fees and training material.

 COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is ideal for all those educators (primary & secondary teachers, university staff (academic & admin), adult educators, trainers & coaches) who want to acquire information about biological agriculture, learn about biological production methods,  compare and contrast bio-production methods, exchange best practices on bio-production, learn about Maltese laws on biological production, understand the mechanism of the biological production chain.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The seminar is spread over 7 days, from Sunday till Sunday. Every day would consist of a morning session and an afternoon session with one coffee break. The program will include also excursion and business visits.
